Flex-Fuel Vehicles (FFV)
In another high-tech breakthrough, Tiger now delivers a series of modifications that permit its rugged line of Star class vehicles to operate on multiple fuel blends using a single advanced fuel system. Use unleaded gasoline as well as ethyl alcohol fuels (usually ethanol) in any mixture up to 85% ethanol. Ethanol is a renewable fuel made from a variety of starch-based plants, most often corn. E85 is the most environmentally friendly fuel in use today with lower tailpipe and greenhouse gas emissions with highest oxygen content of any fuel permitting it to burn cleaner. Tiger's FFVs are particularly well-suited for urban concentrations where environmental smog is a concern. There are various state and federal laws and incentives encouraging the use of alternative fuel, multi-fuel and flex-fuel vehicles. The following summary from the US Department of Energy might be a good place to start your own research of the incentives that could be available to you.
